Disclaimer of substitution: not medical or clinical care

Skipit is intended to support safer, more accessible media experiences. It is not therapy, counseling, medical treatment, crisis support, diagnosis, legal advice, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional. Use of Skipit does not create a clinician-patient, therapist-client, or other professional relationship. If you need medical, mental health, or crisis support, contact a qualified provider or your local emergency or crisis resource.

Beta product notice and accuracy

Skipit is pre-release software and may contain bugs, delays, omissions, or other errors. Trigger detection, scene controls, and related features may be incomplete, unavailable for certain titles or devices, or inaccurate.

No guarantees or warranties

Skipit is designed to help users make more informed viewing choices, but it does not guarantee complete identification of all distressing scenes, themes, categories, or triggers, and it does not guarantee any specific emotional, accessibility, safety, or other outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skipit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

User responsibility

You remain responsible for your own viewing decisions and for determining whether content is appropriate for you or others in your care. Skipit should not be relied on as the sole method of managing mental health, accessibility needs, or personal safety.

Platform relationships and permitted use

Skipit operates independently and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by third-party streaming platforms unless expressly stated. Skipit is intended to function as an overlay or companion tool and is not intended to download, reproduce, store, or redistribute third-party content. You may not use Skipit to bypass digital rights management, access controls, subscription requirements, or third-party platform terms.

Safety and accessibility

Skipit is designed with trauma-informed and accessibility-minded principles, including consideration for reduced motion, color contrast, and keyboard navigation where available. Accessibility, compatibility, and detection performance may vary by title, language, device, browser, operating system, and streaming platform.
